About the work

1960s’ is a part of a series of print ‘Cinema paper & chronicle’ influenced by Eastern European vintage posters. These series are a record of a certain occurrence that is displayed in Setsuko’s imaginary cinema. This piece shows that fashion trends don’t last long and melt away quickly. It combines elements of 1960s fashion, Cyrillic, and candy motifs, brought together through screen printing.
